Description

Detects Azure Cognitive Search services configured with insufficient replicas, which creates a single point of failure and reduces availability. Azure Search services should have at least 3 replicas to ensure high availability and fault tolerance in production environments.

Detection Strategy

• Examines the replica count configuration for each Azure Cognitive Search service in the subscription

• Reports a vulnerability if the search service has fewer than 3 replicas configured

• Includes the actual replica count value and resource ID in the vulnerability report
